Why firms like yours book with us

Partners and associates rarely work in the same room. When they do, the day has to earn its place against everything else it displaces.

  • It stands up to scrutiny. You can put the units built and the value donated in front of a management committee without dressing it up.
  • It suits a mixed room. Trainees and partners have different jobs in the build, so seniority stops being the organising principle for a couple of hours.
  • It counts towards your pro bono and CSR reporting. You get the figures, the photographs and the named charity, ready to use.

Fitting it around the work

We run events inside conferences, at away days and as a standalone afternoon or even lunch, and the short format builds finished inside an hour. If the diary is the obstacle rather than the appetite, let us know and we’ll find something that fits.

Questions we get asked

Can this count towards our CSR or ESG reporting?

Yes. We give you the number of units built, the charity that received them and the value of the donation, which is what most reporting frameworks ask for. It is evidence rather than a statement of intent.

Will this work for a mixed group of partners and juniors?

That is where it works best. The builds are designed so that seniority does not decide who does what, and people who never normally work together end up on the same task.

How many people can take part?

Anywhere from six to two thousand. Smaller teams usually run one of our small group challenges, and very large groups run in waves so everybody builds something.

How long does it take?

Most events run between one and three hours. The short format builds fit inside a conference agenda and the full builds suit an away day.

Do we need a special venue?

No. Almost every event runs in a room you already have, whether that is your own office, a hotel function room or a conference space. We tell you exactly what the space needs when we quote.

What happens to what we build?

It is given to a charity, almost always on the same day. Wherever possible the charity comes and collects it in front of your team, which is the part people remember.

Tell us roughly what you have in mind.

A rough headcount and a rough date is enough to start. You get the prices first, and we only follow up if you want us to.
