Who we are

Charity team building is the only thing we do.

  • Founded 2011
  • Certified B Corporation
  • Over 100 events a year

What we do

One thing, done properly.

Our clients run from blue chip companies to small businesses, enjoying our events across the UK, Europe and even the USA. In the last 15 years, more than 60,000 people have taken part, building team spirit and changing lives elsewhere, hand-in-hand.

Plenty of events companies offer a charity option alongside go karting and clay pigeon shooting. We don’t have anything else to offer. Charity team building is all we do, which is the reason we are so good at it.

We are certified as a B Corporation, which means we are independently verified on how we treat our people, our charity partners and the planet. That makes us a partner for good, in more ways than one.

What we stand for

Four things we will not budge on.

Everything gets donated

Every event ends with something real being handed over. There is no version of an o3e day where the thing your team built goes in a cupboard. We usually donate to the charity on the same day, so you’ll see the difference you’ve made, quicker.

Nobody sits it out

Our events are built so the quiet ones and the competitive ones both have a job. No physical test, no putting people on the spot, no team of one left holding the instructions. Anyone with different abilities will be wholly included.

The charity has a say

We develop events with our charity partners, not just for them. We give charities the things they absolutely want, need and will use.

We tell you what it costs

We’ll give you prices up front, in writing, so you can manage your budget from the off.

The events people book most.

Every one ends with something real being handed to a charity, usually on the same day, with stories of the difference it makes shared with your people.

What we're all about

The polystyrene moment.

Peter founded o3e in 2011, after the polystyrene moment:

“I was asked to carve and paint three blocks of polystyrene to make a totem pole reflecting organisational values. I still find it hard to believe someone thought that was a good use of time and resources. I resigned and created o3e.”

Since then, o3e has pioneered the concept of purpose-driven team building, creating unique events that connect your people with one another – and with great causes where their creations will instantly make a positive impact.

On an o3e event, the charity will be there to tell their story. Your people will connect with that emotionally. What they build will change lives. We’ll feed that back, so the legacy is clear to everyone.

“Having delivered beds to kids who have never owned one; bikes to people getting back on their feet after personal challenges; care packs to women fleeing domestic violence – the difference you make will be long-lasting.”

If you’re bringing your people together, be that an annual event, a merger or product launch, as part of an outreach, marketing or sales-driven initiative or simply an engagement boost, it makes perfect sense to put purpose at its heart.

Questions we get asked

What does o3e stand for?

o3e stands for 'only three elements': business, charity and teamwork. That is the whole idea, and it is why every event has all three in it.

Who actually receives what we build?

A charity we have matched to your event, usually local to where you are. They will normally attend the event, so your team knows who they are building for and why – great motivation for everyone.

Is o3e really a B Corp?

Yes. o3e is a certified B Corporation, independently assessed on how the business treats its staff, its charity partners, its suppliers and the environment. The certification is public and has to be renewed annually.

How long has o3e been doing this?

Since 2011. The first event was a Charity Bike Build for an investment bank, and 34 bikes went to Leaside Trust in East London. 60,000+ people later, we're still connecting the good people in businesses with the people who need a helping hand.
